May 22, 2025 is the official opening date of Universal’s newest theme park, Epic Universe. The theme park is opening with five immersive themed lands based on popular universal owned movies!
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic
A new Harry Potter land inspired by the ministry of magic in both fantastic beasts and Harry Potter movies. The land will feature 3 dining locations: Cafe L’air de la Sirene, Le Goblet Noir, and Bar Moonshine. Cafe L’air de la Sirene is a French bakery with a variety of food and drink options. You can eat either inside or outside at this quick service spot. The cafe will feature a new version of butter beer as a crepe! Le Goblet Noir is another new quick service spot for dark wizards to share a hearty meal, a drink, and hushed conversations. It will feature a variety of food and drink options as well! Bar Moonshine is a new bar option that will have new drinks we haven’t seen yet. You may also find quidditch decor!
The new attraction coming to the land is Harry Potter and the Battle of the Ministy. With a height requirement of 40”, this thrilling motion simulation ride will find you on a lift in the 1990’s British Ministry of Magic after you’ve traveled via metro floo from 1920’s Paris. You’ll encounter mysterious guests, Harry Potter and friends, and Dolores Umbridge as she stands on trial.
You may be used to the interactive wands that you can find in Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, but now you can find new interactive experiences. Not only can you cast spells but now interact with fantastic beasts and enchanted objects in Wizarding Paris. You can buy your new wand at Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique, home to the finest wands in the world designed by Cosme Acajor.

Come step inside the world of your favorite nintendo games. You can find Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country. In Super Mario Land, you’ll be able to ride Mario Cart where you’ll battle Bowser. You can also journey through colorful landscapes on Yoshi’s Adventure. In Donkey Kong Country, you can help him and Diddy Kong protect the Golden Banana in Mine-Cart Madness and more!
Dining options in the land include Toadstool Cafe, The Bubbly Barrel, Yoshi’s Snack Island, and Turbo Boost Treats. Toadstool cafe is a quick service spot where you can watch Chef Toad cook some of his favorite recipes and see playful scenes of Mushroom Kingdom through the windows. The Bubbly Barrel is a refreshment stand in Donkey Kong Country perfect for a way too cool off. Yoshi’s Snack Island is where you can find a variety of juices and specialty beverages inspired by Yoshi’s favorite food: fruit. Turbo Boost Treats is a good pit stop for some race day snacks.
Boost up your fun day with Power Up Bands. Collect Digital Coins and Stamps, complete challenges, and get stars to go to Bowser Jr.’s Shadow Showdown. Collect 3 keys in order to get the chance to recover the stolen golden mushroom. Challenges include Goomba Crazy Crank, Piranha Plant Nap Mishap, Koopa troops Power Punch, Bob-omb Kaboom Room, and Thwomp Panel Picnic.

Discover a land where fire breathing dragons and Vikings exist in harmony, in Berk. The isle from the How to train your dragon movies. Take a coaster ride over the land on Hiccup’s Wing Gliders. Experience the Heart Warming Spectacle of the untrainable dragon. feel the thrills of dragon racing on Dragon racer’s rally. Fight a watery battle on Fyre Drill. Climb, Slide, and Play at the Viking Training Camp.
Restaurants and Dining options include Mead Hall, Spit Fyre Grill, and Hooligan’s grog and gruel. At Mead Hall, you can eat and drink like a viking. This massive Mead Hall is Berk’s main gathering place, a grand chamber hewn from mountain rock where Vikings feast on a hearty menu including meat, fish, sandwiches and desserts. Beverages include assorted meads, ciders and ales. Spit Fyre Grill, located in a bustling trader's market offering delectable Viking fare from all across the sea. New Viking arrivals can drop anchor to find a hearty meal at this quick-serve eatery featuring delicious helpings of greens, grains or rice topped with a variety of meats flame-seared by a helpful (unseen) dragon fry cook. No dragon rider’s day is complete without a tasty bite from the festive racing-themed food stand, Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel. After cheering on their champions, Vikings can enjoy Mac & Cheese cones in a variety of styles.

In Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, Dr. Victoria Frankenstein puts you in the midst of an angry revolt of fiendish monsters. Beware as you face the Curse of the Werewolf, which sends you spinning and speeding through deep woods that werewolves call home. At Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience, skilled artists use their talents to transform their customers into werewolves, vampires, mummies and more. Meet some of Darkmoor Village’s unique residents including Frankenstein’s Monster and his Bride, Ygor, The Invisible Man and more.
Restaurants and Dining include Das Stakehous, The Burning Blade Tavern, and De Lacey’s Cottage. Shrouded in mystery, Das Stakehaus is an old inn and dining hall built over the ruins of ancient catacombs. Here you can enjoy a meal surrounded by vampire artwork and artifacts. In fact, the restaurant is run by vampires’ “familiars”, or servants. Just don’t venture down to the catacombs below, or you might find yourself on the vampires’ menu.
